What we're working on...

Reading: I have decided to change the book report due date(s) for March and April. More information to come your way soon! On another note, we just completed  Terra Novas and will be back to our normal reading work next week.

Math: The past two weeks have been geometry-filled. The 3rd graders are finding it fun to identify and measure shapes and figures. We created "Geometry Monsters" and are practicing finding area and perimeter...don't forget to continue practicing multiplication and division!

3rd Grade Science: The human body is one of God's most amazing creations! We will continue exploring the body moving on from the skeletal system to discuss the digestive system and muscular system.

2nd Grade Science: The 2nd graders began a new unit last week on Light and Color. We will discuss sources of light, shadows and color.

Writing: Most 3rd graders are on to their 2nd journal notebook. That means we have been writing a lot! Each morning students respond to a journal prompt and then are randomly chosen to share with the class. We will continue this great presentation practice as we delve into more challenging forms of writing too.

Religion: Every week at Mass we sing our praise to the Lord. Last week the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade classes presented the Stations of the Cross to the school. You can check out our work in the hallway near the office.
